At the time of this monograph, Tasawwur Husain Zaidi was a Project Associate with the Pakistan Studies Programme at the Academy of International Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. He completed a doctorate in geography at Jamia Millia Islamia in 2012 and an advanced diploma in remote sensing and GIS applications. His research interests include environmental and food security, natural-resource assessment, sustainable development and regional planning.
